The "academy has been created to give young players a world class training facility," Teemu Selanne told Janne Virtanen.

His academy will be built on the southern tip of Finland in Kirkkunomi, which is just west of Helsinki, in an effort to "give young players a world class training facility."
Perhaps surprisingly, though, is that the academy will be open to "KHL teams [that] can stay overnight in hotel, [and] use the complex to train and leave for game in Helsinki."

As for Selanne's standing offer from Jokerit,
Not that one would expect otherwise, but hockey is still a big part of Selanne's life and it looks like he's trying to use his resources to help as many Fins as he can.
