Wild News: Justin Fontaine Avoids Arbitration

The Minnesota Wild have re-signed a key member of their forward depth.


Neil Sheehy, Justin Fontaine's agent, broke the news,
The undrafted rookie out of the University of Minnesota Duluth scored a dozen goals and 21 points in 66 games last year, his goals were good for fourth-best on the team. All this while skating an average of just 12:16, and an astounding 16.5 shooting percentage.

With the 26 year old Fontaine now under wraps, GM Chuck Fletcher can now turn his attention to the two other remaining RFA's, forward Nino Niederreiter and goalie Darcy Kuemper. According to CapGeek, the Wild have $9.69M left under the cap.
