Giants Rumors: Eli Manning says new offense has 're-energized me'

By on 12:20 PM

The Giants' offense was abysmal last year. Offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride retired this offseason after spending ten seasons with the team. In turn, this move has caused Eli Manning and the rest of the offense to have to learn a new system. However, despite the newness to it all, Eli Manning's excited.

Manning spoke to the New York Daily News:

"It's re-energized me. I'm trying to speed up the process of getting comfortable in the new system. I don't have ten years. I have a few months."

Eli lost a target in Hakeem Nicks this offseason, but also gained one in draftee Odell Beckham. The wideout was considered one of the best in his talent-filled class, and he'll immediately fit in the new offense this season. Eli and Beckham even got some extra practice in together at the Manning's annual quarterback camp.

"Good to get some one-on-one time here," -- Eli concluded.
