CFL News: Chad Johnson scores his first touchdown

By on 11:22 AM

Chad Johnson found the end zone on Friday night.  Only this time, the ball was larger & it wasn't in the NFL.  Johnson signed this past spring with the CFL's Montreal Alouettes.  In their third game on the season, Johnson scored on a pretty 46-yard bomb from former Baltimore Raven Troy Smith.  Catch the highlight here.

Johnson's been out of the NFL for awhile now, last being seen in training camp with the Miami Dolphins prior to the 2012 season.  He signed a two-year contract with the Alouettes back in April and has been contributing when needed.  Through three games, he's caught three passes for sixty-six yards and a touchdown.  He's also got a tackle to his credit!

He's probably hoping an NFL team will give him another chance if he can perform well in the CFL but that seems to be a stretch.  He's proven time and time again to be a distraction in the NFL and teams don't go for aging players with no self control.  But if you like his style, at least you can still see him play.  You just have to try and find the CFL on TV!
