One reliever that teams could covet is Miami Marlins right-hander Steve Cishek, according to Peter Gammons on his website, GammonsDaily.com.
Cishek is one of the better closers in the game of baseball and would be a good addition for many contending teams, including the Detroit Tigers, Atlanta Braves, and Baltimore Orioles.
He’s the Marlins third highest-paid player at $3.8M, and arbitration is going to drive that way up. The Marlins have been trying to assemble backend arms, and right now have closer possibilities in Bryan Morris and Anthony DeSclafani—if not Nathan Eovaldi—and could get some young infield offensive help in return."In 27 appearances, he's 4-2 with a 2.36 ERA and a 34/9 strikeout-to-walk ratio. In his five years at the big league level, he has gone 15-11 with a 2.47 ERA and a 234/80 strikeout-to-walk ratio.
