Rangers News: Texas acquires Hector Noesi from Seattle

The Texas Rangers acquired right-hander Hector Noesi from the Seattle Mariners for a player-to-be-named-later or cash, according to's Greg Johns.

The 27-year-old made his debut with the Yankees in 2011 and was then traded to Seattle in 2012. Noesi appeared in 34 games between 2012 and 2013 with a 5.98 ERA. He had a decent Spring as a Mariner, tossing 13 innings and only allowing four runs despite a 3-to-4 strikeout to walk ratio.

Noesi appeared in just two games this season, allowing three runs in 1.0 innings before being designated for assignment this week. He will slide into the ever-changing bullpen of the Texas Rangers.
