Kings Report: Trevor Lewis gets two year extension

By on 8:32 AM

The Los Angeles Kings have signed bottom six forward Trevor Lewis to a two year contract extension thus locking up one of the club's most important defensive forwards.

Kings general manager Dean Lombardi announced the extension for Lewis who was the Kings first round pick (17th overall) in the 2006 entry draft, and has been a significant member of the Kings being twice named winner of  the club's unsung hero award.

Lewis is a solid defensive forward making him one of those guys that every club needs to have but never get any recognition for their contribution to a successful team. The fact that while taking a regular shift for defensive purposes Lewis has been penalized for only 57 minutes throughout his entire career, makes him one of the best in the league at what he brings to the club.
