Veteran prospect Colton Sceviour re-singed with the Dallas Stars to the tune of $1.3 million over two seasons. A notable aspect of the 24-year-old's new contract is the extra digit in his salary at $600K in 2015 and $700K in 2016, even in the AHL, where he's spent most of his career thus far.

Sceviour is the AHL's Texas Stars all-time leader in games played (344), goals (98), short-handed goals (9), and game-winning goals (22) drew praise from Stars GM Jim Nill, "Colton has been a very reliable and effective player for our organization during his professional hockey career."

Sceviour was Dallas' fourth-round selection (112th overall) in the 2007 NHL Draft.
