According to Young:
"For me, I just want to go out there and just end it on a good note... This could be my last couple times playing here. You never know."Young has averaged 16.8 points per game, 2.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 28.6 minutes per game for the Lakers. He has been one of the biggest surprises in L.A. He is an L.A. native, and a graduate of USC so playing for the Lakers this year is a childhood dream come true.
Young has a player option for next season that would pay him $1.2 million. If he opts out of his contract, the three-point specialist could demand more money on the open market, and it's unclear if the Lakers are willing to match any offer for him due to his injuries.
For most Laker fans, this season has been a nightmare. But for Young, this season has been a dream come true. Too bad it could be his last.
